This series consists of administration and correspondence files containing correspondence, circulars, minutes, newspaper clippings, annual reports and general reports from most of the organisations which amalgamated to form the Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association. Included are the Executive Minutes of the first organisation to represent Northern Territory pastoralists, the Northern Territory Pastoral Lessees' Association (unit no.1, item no.A1/1A), a published statement relating to the history and purpose of the Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association (unit no.33, item no.C2/3G), and a copy of the constitution of the Cattlemen's Association of North Australia (unit no.43, item no.D3/2F). The files include material accumulated during 1910-1922, before the Northern Territory Pastoral Lessees' Association was established in 1923. Some language used in these records (which reflects the language used at the time the records were created) may be offensive. This collection may contain references to Aboriginal people who have died, which may cause sadness and distress to their relatives. No offence has been intended by making these records available.
